Austereo launched Radar Radio in December 2008, making it Australia’s first commercial digital radio station.
Recognising the need to do something different from the norm, Radar was conceived to help artists get heard, bringing music lovers the latest music from Australia and around the world.
Radar is the champion of new songs, albums and artists before they’re on mainstream radio, or even on your iPod. The station encourages artists to upload their own music directly to the website, but also receives songs via record companies that have yet to receive mainstream airplay.
