SCA ends the year with solid results

Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) finishes the year with exceptional ratings results around the country in the latest Nielsen Radio Survey, delivering # 1 FM breakfast shows and million plus station audiences in all key markets.

  •  2Day FM is Sydney’s  #1 FM station with over one million listeners
  • Fox FM dominant again in Melbourne – #1 FM station, delivering over one million listeners
  • Kyle and Jackie O on 2Day win FM breakfast again in Sydney
  • Matt and Jo Show on Fox win FM breakfast again in Melbourne
  • Triple M Brisbane’s new breakfast show The Grill Team claim #1 FM breakfast for the second time
  • Mix 94.5’s ever successful breakfast show The Bunch win convincingly again
  • SAFM in Adelaide and 92.9 in Perth claim #2 FM breakfast
  • Fifi and Jules and Hamish and Andy win FM drive Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth

The ever dominant 2Day FM finishes the year convincingly as #1 FM station, #1 in breakfast with the Kyle and Jackie O show and #1 in Drive with Fifi and Jules and Hamish and Andy. Triple M in Sydney holds its own as The Grill Team featuring Matty Johns claim #3 FM breakfast .  

Fox FM further grows and claims the country’s biggest FM audience with a massive 1.149 million listeners. Fox wins FM breakfast yet again with the Matt and Jo Show phenomenon. Triple M Melbourne is celebrating the end of 2011, finishing 1.2 points up on Survey 1 this year. Eddie McGuire and his Triple M Hot Breakfast teammates, Mick Molloy and Luke Darcy had a superb result with 7.5 share points, its second strongest ratings result to date.

In the tightest radio market in the country, Triple M Brisbane’s new breakfast show The Grill Team is triumphant with another #1 FM breakfast win. That’s ‘two from two’ for this new show and the best results for the Triple M breakfast team in years. 

In Adelaide, SAFM is on the move with share gains overall, in breakfast and  drive. 

SCA Perth has had a stellar year and again in this Survey delivers outstanding radio results. Mix 94.5 is unbeatable, wining overall and in breakfast, as well as claiming #2 in drive. 92.9 finished off the year with a solid #2 place overall and a massive increase in breakfast. Fifi and Jules and Hamish and Andy on 92.9 win the drive slot with an impressive 15.6 share.
