The Grill Team Up Again

  • Solid increase to 6.2 points for The Grill Team – equal #2 choice for breakfast in Sydney
  • #1FM breakfast and #1FM station for males 25-54
  • Triple M Sydney overall rise to 5.6 – just under half a million listeners

The Grill Team continues to rise with Matty Johns, Mark Geyer and Gus Worland jumping again to become equal second for Sydney breakfast in Nielsen’s 7th radio ratings for 2011.

The station overall has risen to a 5.6 share and further wins for the ultimate rock station come in the male demographic, delivering #1FM for males aged 25-54 in breakfast and overall.

Triple M Sydney is set to finish the year on a high with just one survey result remaining.  Merrick Watts is the name on everyone’s lips to bring the station even further glory when he takes the drive shift in 2012.

Southern Cross Austereo Sydney General Manager, Adam Lang said, “The Grill Team consolidates a terrific increase in audience share this year. Matty Johns, Mark Geyer and Gus Worland have worked incredibly hard to entertain our audience and earn the respect of our clients and staff.  To secure equal second in breakfast radio in Sydney is an amazing achievement and a new benchmark for Triple M.

“The ACRAs saw the station take out Best Community Service Project for Legends of Origin and Dan Ginnane won the Brian White Memorial.

“Triple M Sydney consistently delivers the biggest sports news and insights including an exclusive with Will Power into the tragic Indy Car death.  Big events for clients are a staple such as Rock The Raceway go-karting and Brick Football for Mammoth Milk.

“With Merrick joining the greatest rock station in 2012 we’re excited for an overall fantastic package that Sydney listeners will continue to enjoy.”
