Survey #2 – Austereo leads Commercial FM radio ratings

Austereo delivered market leading results in Nielsen’s second radio ratings survey today, holding overall #1 FM place in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with #2 place in Adelaide.

2Day FM’s Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O continue to dominate Sydney FM radio with yet another increase today, taking their show to 11.7, 4.7 points ahead of the FM competition. The combined talents of Fifi and Jules plus Hamish and Andy in Drive deliver a winning 12.5 share points. Triple M Sydney’s breakfast show, The Grill Team announced yesterday Matty Johns will join the show from April 4, positioning the station to grow its 10+ and breakfast shares.

Fox FM in Melbourne celebrates success with The Matt and Jo Show, leading the FM breakfast race by 5.5 and an overall share of 12.5. Fifi and Jules plus Hamish and Andy add 2 points to their overall #1 FM Drive lead with 17.1 share. Eddie McGuire’s Hot Breakfast Show on Triple M maintains its #3 Breakfast show place.
Brisbane’s B105 wins #1 all people with a share of 11.8 and #1 in breakfast with Labby, Camilla and Stav, on 11.3. Triple M Brisbane delivered solid results with The Cage in breakfast, increasing its share by 1.3 to claim # 3 spot with 10.7 share points overall.
SAFM in Adelaide holds onto #2 spot 10+ with a 13.9 share and convincingly wins the key buying demographic of 25 – 39 with 21.3 share, an increase of 4.9. Triple M’s Hot Breakfast in Adelaide holds steady on 8.4 share points.

Austereo in Perth dominates commercial FM radio with Mix 94.5 holding onto its #1 position 10+ with a share of 14.1 and 92.9 holding #2 place convincingly with 11.6 overall. Again, Fifi and Jules plus Hamish and Andy on 92.9 claim #1 FM Drive spot in Perth, securing their lead in this session around the country.
